IRRIGATOR VS RAMBITE
Steel Conflict 2/8/03

Picture 1
In the orange square, Irrigator, featuring standard irrigation box and HDPE hinged wedge.
Picture 2
In the yellow square, Rambite, full-body spinner with S7 hardened tool steel blades.
Picture 3
Since Rambite is a clockwise spinner, my intention was to hit Rambite's left side as shown in this picture. Its a direct hit against the spinner blade, but should shoot Rambite straight backwards and hopefully in the direction of the pits.
Picture 4
Rambite still lives. I still live too, but not for long as his shell quickly gets up to full speed.
Picture 5
Ouch.
Picture 6
Ouch. Starting to lose the pvc pipes.
Picture 7
There goes the front wedge. I believe this impact was actually on my front end (end point away in photo), and the impact spun me around 180 degrees while ripping off a portion of front wedge.
Picture 8
Ouch. Going for my back right tire.
Picture 9
Slicing off more of the front wedge like a Ginsu.
Picture 10
Ouch Ouch. Large impact on the rear side. Explosion of pvc pipes and parts all over the place. I think thats my rear left tire being knocked off.
Picture 11
People around me are telling me "What the hell, might as well keep going after him". I agree. So thats what I did here. More plastic explosions.
Picture 12
"I need a vacation".
He's badly damaged (understatement), but still moving to my amazement. I believe both left tires are gone at this point.
Picture 13
More blows from Rambite. I think this one takes out that hanging front right tire. Notice another tire cruising out in the upper right corner of picture.
Picture 14
One final pop at the end.

Saturday February 8, 2002 - 12:42 pm - 60 lb class.
Irrigator herds Rambite to purple corner, Rambite rips wedge and PVC off Irrigator - Irrigator faces with undamaged side to charge, misses and Rambite strips his flank as he goes by - wedges, plastic chunks flying over arena - Irrigator still moving, one wheel cocked but has full drive - Irrigator charges over and over, Rambite controls center and Irrigator can't budge him - Irrigator at full speed into Rambite, Rambite not even slowed - wheel well goes in a huge explosion of pieces, now two wheels cocked and one gone - Irrigator can only move in circles in front of orange pit, there are hundreds of bits scattered - his controller lights shine through the gaps in the side but he's still moving - 58 seconds remaining and he's crippled in front of the judges, Rambite is stopped and shoves gently to end match. Rambite wins by knockout. 47 seconds remaining.
